Contract negotiations have started, and to show solidarity, the Union bought us polo shirts with our logo embroidered on them. We are supposed to wear them every Friday. Right out of the gate this was controversial because most schools have their own staff shirt that we wear on Fridays. We asked about wearing them another [...]

Principal Pretty interrupted afternoon classes to announce that a local bank donated $5,000 to our school. We gasped, and then heard cheers up and down the hall. Then she announced the money would be used in the library. I heard a lot of “Cool!” and “Wow!” and even, “There’s not enough room for that many [...]

Today was my first day back after being out of town since last Thursday. Not five minutes into the building, Ms. ESL told me, “I think they missed you!” (I muttered, “I didn’t miss them.” ) And I think they really did. When they came in to line up at the door, the [...]

Here, Leah Remini (King of Queens) had been on Rachel Ray last year to get advice about her three year-old daughter who was basically an uncontrolled, spoiled brat. They asked moms [...]

Little by little my stress must’ve been slipping away over the past few weeks. One day I noticed my ears weren’t ringing. (The silence was deafening.) Then I realized I wasn’t raising my voice let alone yelling. Then last week I was smiling and *gasp* laughing. Several teachers commented on how much happier I seem, [...]

Or, call me the Data Bitch.
So PC#1 got himself sent to a Superintendent’s Hearing for trying to slam that kid’s face through the bus window. All of his teachers had to fill out a narrative: me, Fashionista, and all of the specialists. Fashionista wasn’t really sure what to write since he’d been in her class [...]
Wordle

I had to laugh when I saw what Wordle chose from this blog to make a kind of “tag cloud”. Notice how LazyBoy and CheerGirl are prominently featured. As is “parents”. LOL
Now here is the one I made using words from my tags:
Sorry, I can’t make them any bigger. But, if you click [...]
